'twas the day before kindergarten

and it comes as no surprise

T has the Kindergarten twinkle in his eyes

We've had a wonderful day preparing for Thompson's first day of Kindergarten tomorrow.  We began the day with a special breakfast down at the pavilion honoring the five Kindergarteners in our neighborhood.

This afternoon, we went to school to meet his teacher Miss Cody. 

He located his seat and cubbie and took some time to soak in all the classroom has to offer. 

He also made certain to find his bus, which he "beside-himself-ecstatic" about riding home tomorrow and every afternoon.

Twas the Night Before Kindergarten, The Deep Blue Sea (which he read all on his own!), I'm Your Bus, and Franklin Goes to School.

We let him pick the restaurant for dinner...ihop...where he ordered, of course, the chocolate funny face.  And as we concluded the evening, we snuggled in bed and read
