Thanks to daddy, Thompson discovered the delicious taste of Arby's jamocha milkshake a few nights ago. After one sip through the straw (which he is mastering quite well these days), Thompson's immediate response was "mmmm". Needless to say, he wasn't interested in sharing with daddy.

Our little "gymnast"
Wednesday morning found us at The Little Gym for Thompson's last class of the Winter-Spring semester. Annie and Poppy (Bobby's parents) joined us as we celebrated the achievements Thompson and his classmates made over the past several months. (Considering the children were barely walking when they began, they've come a long way!) Thompson demonstrated his forward roll, backhandspring and then received his medal. The Little Gym has been the perfect place for us to frequent weekly as it has provided an outlet for Thompson's ever-increasing energy, curiosity and climbing abilities. Thompson is learning how to roll forward and backward, hang on the bars, walk on the beam, run, jump and much more. Currently, his favorite Little Gym endeavors are jumping; climbing up, down and over the mats; walking on the beam; and popping bubbles. Plus, he's interacting with other children his own age and slowly learning what it means to share and wait your turn.
And finally, The Little Gym has also enabled us to meet several new friends who will continue at through the summer and into the fall.

Mother's Day Weekend
We ventured down the mountains to Greensboro for Mother's Day weekend. As expected, it was a wonderful, albeit short, trip. Graham flew in from Manhattan Saturday and we enjoyed taking Thompson to Greensboro's downtown park where we met up with the Morrows (Bobby's aunt, uncle and cousin). Of course, no trip to Greensboro would be complete (especially now that Thompson can eat and enjoys hotdogs) without a visit to Yum-Yum for hotdogs and ice cream! On Sunday, Avery's mother's side of the family gathered at Grandover Resort and Conference Center to unveil "A Mother's Garden" - a garden in memory of Avery's Aunt Linda who passed away 19 years ago.
