R & R for Mommy and Daddy

We justed returned from a "mommy-daddy" trip to the Turks and Caicos. It goes without saying that we had a fantastic time and look forward to returning in the future (albeit not soon enough!)

Thompson's Ma-mere and Pa-pere joined him in our absence, and from what we hear, it sounds as though they had a great time with no real separation tears shed. Way to go Ma-mere and Pa-pere! And thank you.

As for us, we spent five days and four nights at the Ocean Club, which was located on Grace Bay in Providenciales (aka Provo), doing nothing. Honestly. We never rushed to arise in the morning, strolled along Grace Bay, relaxed by the Windex-colored waters of the Caribbean and enjoyed fantastic dinners. OK, so I lied...one morning we elected to take a snorkeling cruise where we first traveled to Little Waters Cay island to see the endangered rock iguanas before heading out to a reef for some snorkeling. The weather was perfect: sunny, high-70's/low-80's and a constant ocean breeze. We never closed the sliding doors to our room!

As you can tell, we give the Grace Bay area a two-thumbs up and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Caribbean desitanation. And did we mention it was only a 2 1/2 hour direct flight from Charlotte. It doesn't get much easier than that!

Ah, until we escape again...
