Good morning! Happy Easter Bunny! What a fantastic way for a two-year old to great us this morning. As we celebrate Christ's resurrection and experience Easter through the eyes of a toddler, we are reminded of the abundant life and joy that the Lord has for us. We celebrated this Easter with both of our parents. And of course, no Easter weekend would be complete without Easter egg hunts, an overnight visit from the Easter bunny, Easter service, a visit with the Easter bunny and a scrumptious brunch. Thompson was absolutely enthralled with the Easter Bunny, wanting to sit on his lap or talk with him any chance he could get! As I (Avery) write this, everyone appears to be in their food-coma..some checking their eyelids for holes, others just relaxing. From our family to yours, we trust you had a joyful Easter and will find hope, love and peace in the resurrected Lord.
Over the past several weeks, we've notice new ways that Thompson entertains himself. Recently, he's been taking what he knows of the world, using his imagination and applying that knowledge to other things in the house. For example, he has turned my blush compact into a computer and enjoys "typing" in the space where the brush is held and reminds us "no touch screen" where the mirror is. Another great example is taking a flip-top side table and pretending it is a stove/oven. He enjoys turning the stove "on" and "off", reminds us "no touch hot" and pretends he is opening the oven when he lifts the table top up. Too cute, absolutely funny...and quite amazing!

I forgot to post theses pictures a couple weeks ago after and outing to daddy's work (better known as Lonesome Valley). They are doing quite a bit of construction on-site, and Thompson was more than thrilled to enjoy his first ride on a motor grader (pronounced "moa-dea"). He made sure to utilized his digger sounds when on the tractor and gator as well.
Well, this was certainly a first...a family outing to the bowling alley...Thompson included! We went last night with a few of our neighbors and had a great time. As you can imagine, we were a bit hesitant, not knowing what to expect from Thompson. However, it came as no surprise that he did relatively well. Seeing that he is learning about patience and sharing these days, the bowling alley proved to be a perfect place to do just that as he had to wait for his turn (aka "my turn-my turn"). And he even bowled one strike!
