My how time flies

...when you are having fun, of course! This past weekend, I joined my Salem "sisters" back on the campus of our alma mater to celebrate our 10th reunion. It was great to be back together, reminiscing about old times and catching up on marriage, motherhood and careers. In addition to spending QT with some of my closest friends, I loved being able to dine with adults, savoring each drop of wine and each bite of food, without feeling rushed, which as you know, it a rarity these days!

Mommy-Daddy Weekend Getaway

This past Christmas, Bobby gave me a weekend getaway sans Thompson to Charleston, SC for the weekend of April 20-22. (Believe it or not, but this Southerner had never been to Charleston!) We had a wonderful time, staying downtown at the Planters Inn and dining at the renowned Peninsula Grille one night for dinner. I certainly look forward to a return visit.

Easter Greetings

We spent the cold (yet sunny) Easter weekend in Cashiers with both families. Graham flew in from Manhattan Thursday evening, so (as always) it was awesome to have her home. We attended the Easter service at Church of the Good Shepherd and then enjoyed brunch and an Easter egg hunt at Chattooga Club, where Bobby's parents are members. As for Thompson, he was enamored by the Easter Bunny, bewildered during the egg hunt, and fascinated with the pine straw. Blessings to each of you and may you remember, it is because "He is not here; He is Risen!" (Luke 24:6) that we have eternal life...YES!

Spring Wonderland

We woke up this morning to a beautiful blanket of snow. Thompson was super anxious to go outside and play in it, so we bundled him up after breakfast and sent him into the white wonderland to explore. We didn't last long (or I should say mommy didn't last long), so we headed back inside where he got to take a hot shower with daddy. Wishing all of you a very Happy and blessed Easter.

Big Fish!

Bobby and Herb (our friend and neighbor) spent Tuesday fly-fishing at Blackhawk, a strectch of the Soque River that runs through private land in northern Georgia. This trophy trout water is the home to countless 3-12 pound trout. Bobby and Herb had an awesome time and indicated to Kristine (Herb's wife) and me that it was definitely their inaugural trip. The few pictures they were able to take are fantastic; however, they were unable to capture pictures of the bigger fish they caught as the fish would squirm out of their hands before they could get the camera ready.

I'm walking, yes indeed...

Still walking and counting my steps. I was glad to see that my average increased during March from 7,392 to 8,185.
