Christmas Recap

We had another wonderful Christmas in Cashiers this year!  Fortunately, the "prep and landing" crew was ready Christmas Eve (unlike last year).  Aunt G and Bart flew in from NYC Friday to start the holiday.
After attending the Saturday afternoon Christmas Eve service at The Church of the Good Shepherd, we headed to Annie and Poppy's house for dinner.  The excitement upon our arrival was some garland that caught on fire from a candle, which Annie was able to quickly extinguish.  As always, it was a wonderful evening of family fellowship.
Christmas Day found us discovering the surprises Santa left under the tree.  The boys were obviously on "good list".  For Thompson, it was Lego and biking-gear filled Christmas.  He also received several new card games, Scrabble Jr. and many more books in the Magic Tree House series.  William Christmas can best be summarized as TRAINS.  He also got wooden puzzles, books, boots and animal socks.  Later in the afternoon Annie, Poppy and Aunt Ally come over in the afternoon for more gift exchanging and to enjoy Christmas Dinner.
On the 2nd day of Christmas, we awoke to the wonderful news that Bart proposed to Graham late Christmas night.  Welcome to the family "Uncle B"!
Other memorable highlights include William discovering a taste for almonds and Mamere's hummus, making Christmas cookies and painting dough ornaments with Mamere, egg nog, assembling Legos, playing in the "hot pool", William's first haircut, T and Bart playing football, indoor soccer games in the garage, WY's improved pronunciation and speaking, and so very much more!  We returned to Asheville Wednesday afternoon and said farewell to Graham Thursday morning (Bart had to return to NYC Monday).
