His Truths

As parents, we try daily to impart God's truths to Thompson in very real and practical ways. Over the past couple of days, we've seen our seeds produce fruit!

(1) We told Thompson school was cancelled due to the snow. About a half hour later, we learned his school was going to have a delayed open. We told Thompson his teacher had made a mistake in her communication with us and reminded him everyone makes mistakes. To which he responds, "Yea, but God doesn't."

(2) Prior to bedtime, Thompson was reprimanded for being disrespectful to daddy by saying hurtful things. We were saying our bedtime prayers and reminded Thompson that while we may disapprove of his actions, we always love him and love him so very much. To which he adds, "and God does too."

How right he is...on both accounts!

"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:14-16
