It goes without saying that this has been a milestone weekend for Thompson. It began Friday morning with what was to be a leisurely walking around the lake trail at Camp Merrie-Woode. However, upon getting out of our car, we saw a backhoe loader AND a tractor. Thompson not only sat on the backhoe loader, but also got to crank up the tractor (with CMW's Executive Director Jim Dunn) and move the front loader. Of course, for the next hour around the lake, we lost count of how many times we heard "digger"! And then Saturday, after spending the morning at the playground, we returned home to find an excavator working on the lot next to Avery's parents' mountain home. Needless to say, Thompson was in heaven...especially after he was able to help maneuver the excavator. Enjoy the pictures. Who knows, we may very well have a future foreman on our hands.
