Fletcher Flyer

We hit the road on our bicycles this past Sunday to participate in Blue Ridge Bicycle Club's 12th Annual Fletcher Flyer.  Having ridden the 30 mile distance last year on his mountain bike, Thompson was anxious to tackle the Half Century (50 miles) on his road bike...and he did it!  Not to be left out, I road with William in the Half Metric (32 miles).  Knowing the longest distance William had ridden was 22 miles on the {flat} Swamprabbit Trail, we found a "cut-over" road to shorten the distance some.  In the end, William completed 18 miles and was this year's youngest rider {and I think youngest to-date}.
